MISSION STATEMENT
It shall be the purpose of the GLOUCESTER CITY AMATEUR RADIO CLUB, to further the exchange of information and cooperation between members, to promote radio knowledge, fraternity and individual operating efficiency, and to conduct club programs and activities as to advance the general interest and welfare of Amateur Radio in the community. The club supports communications activities of emergency management communications (EMCOMM), including the Amateur Radio Emergency Service (A.R.E.S.), Federal Office of Emergency Management (F.E.M.A.), National Incident Command System (N.I.C.S.) and the National Weather Service SKYWARN reporting system. G.C.A.R.C. is an American Radio Relay League (A.R.R.L.) affiliated club.

All Club activity is suspended and the Club equipment is being picked up for storage since there is no place to relocate. Since the Brown Street School is scheduled to be demolished, the Club must remove all property from the building. However, the demolition of the school has been delayed as well. The current equipment relocation is planned for the basement of the police headquarters.
